The "project forwarder" has an intricate logistics part in this entire engineering logistics operation, overseeing the expediting, marshalling, storage, loading/unloading onto trucks, railcars, vessels, etc., from origin to the final destination up to the final "turn-key" operation.

INDUSTRIAL TRANSFORMERS ... ongoing 1996 - 1998 10 units each 14 L x 10 W x 12 FT - 16 FT High / 80,000 LBS from Roanoke, Virginia to Bayamon, Puerto Rico for Virginia Transformer, Roanoke, Virginia for Puerto Rican Power Authority.

charter vessels from Puerto Rico to Rio Haina, Puerto Plata and Punta

One paper making mill, disassembly, packing and supplying at 50 x
40' open top shipper owned containers from Kotka, Finland to new jobsite,
Bennettsville, South Carolina for Willamette Corp., Portland, Oregon.
Phillips Petroleum, Durham, North Carolina, de-comissioned plastic resin
plant. Dismantling, packing and shipping in 275 x 40' shipper owned
containers including sectionalized packing for easy re-assembly at
new building site in New Delhi,India.
Electrical transformers, various domestic rail and truck moves to factory in Idaho for refurbishing and return to jobsite for U.S. Transformer Corp.

900 m/t "work-over" platform rig with 180' jack-up legs transported
by submersible Weijsmuller float-on/float-off vessel from mid-stream Mississippi
river, U.S. Gulf to Cabinda, Angola. Off-shore discharge for Dixon/Chevron.
1991
25 megawatt electric power generation plant consisting of 3 x 120 MT
diesel electric generator sets plus parts and transformers, from Bay
City, Michigan to Callao, Peru for Cementos De Lima, Peru. Private Charter
with self-sustaining gear.
1986-1990
Ligang I Power Project, Shanghai, China/Foster Wheeler. Complete
power plant construction for 200 megawatt power generating plant including
USA equipment and modular buildings; stators and transformers from
many USA suppliers.
1982-1988
CarajasProject, Amazon, Brazil. House freight forwarders for Rio
Doce America Inc., the purchasing agent for the Carajas Project. Weekly
consolidations of equipment, spare parts, tools and equipment for project
crew. Major transport of construction equipment, starting with buildup
of 600 miles of new railroad to project site with delivery of rails, 38
locomotives, 20 x Mack-140 dumpsters (140 MT payload). Also, hydro-electric
power station buildup and aluminum smelter. Weekly spare parts order
dispatch of up to 4 x 40 containers with over 400/600 different purchase
orders.
